As the year comes to an end, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope you have a great holiday season, and a better end to a forgettable 2020.
But I also want to recognize this holiday season is different. We felt that difference at Thanksgiving, and we'll most likely feel it even more now. We miss spending time with our extended families and friends. What would you give to be standing at a restaurant right now, post- pandemic, shouting a drink order over the noise of your loud friends? Many of us feel socially isolated and depressed. Many small business are struggling and millions are unemployed.
We need to remember that this one year of separation is coming to an end, and there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Not only do we have vaccines that are on the way to combat the virus, we are already distributing those vaccines to our essential healthcare workers.
So while, yes, we need to be apart during this traditionally joyful time of year, we can continue that spirit virtually.
I wish you a happy, healthy, and safe holiday season. May this holiday season usher in a prosperous 2021 for you and your family.
